The Canaan Fir exhibits glossy dark green needles. A stately landscape tree with thick branches and spire shaped top. Excellent cut boughs - very fragrant. This fir is an up and coming Christmas tree, steadily growing each year in popularity. The Canaan tolerates wetter soils than the Fraser, and is more resistant to spring frost injury, due to its late bud break.
