Hydrangea - Climbing

Hydrangea petiolaris

Lush green foliage, this hydrangea will be covered with brilliant white lacecap flowers in summer. Though this climber may seem shrubby and slow to start, it will vigorously climb when established. Deciduous vine, clings with aerial rootlets, no trellis required. Blooms on old wood, so prune only after bloom, if desired, to keep the shrub within your desired space.  Mass planting, screen, cutting garden, woodland garden, trellis plant, ground cover, erosion control.

Also known as Hydrangea anomala
