Buddleia x 'Pugster White'

Butterfly Bush - 'Pugster® White'

$22.95

The Pugster®White butterfly bush has a small, sturdy frame which bears large flowers the size you'd find on much taller plants. Each bloom is a full, dense cluster of crisp white flowers that shine on summer nights. The white blooms emit a honey-sweet fragrance that invites bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds to its nectar. This selection is deer and rabbit resistant. Like all Proven Winners butterfly bushes, it blooms from summer through autumn without deadheading. Because of its thick, strong stems, the Pugster White®butterfly bush has better hardiness and winter survival in zone 5 than other dwarf varieties.

Our plants come with extra large and fibrous root systems, ready to plant and flourish!

Care Tips

Care Tips - Growing:

Plant in full sun for best flowering. Deadheading not required for continuous bloom. In clay soils, plant a bit higher than ground level to divert moisture away from the center of the plant.

Care Tips - Pruning:

Prune only after new growth emerges in spring. Cut back to just above a set of large, healthy buds.

Care Tips - Soil:

Good drainage is essential. The combination of wet soil and cold temperatures is particularly detrimental.

Care Tips - Uses:

Mixed borders and perennial gardens, as well as butterfly and humminbird gardens. It can be incorporated into foundation plantings, but is best combined with other plants to ensure interest in winter and spring.
