    Lonicera caerulea

The Japanese Haskap is an extremely tough fruit bearing shrub in the honeysuckle family.  Also known as honeyberries, the early summer berries are plump blue elongated fruits which taste like blueberries, but sweeter!  Tolerant of most any soil conditions and pH levels. No pollinator required, but berries grow larger and more plentiful when another Haskap is planted nearby.  Produces on old wood, so prune after harvest if desired. Great for processing into jam, jelly, or sauce, if you haven't eaten all of them fresh from the plant!  Excellent mass planting, screen. Deer resistant.

    Rubus occidentalis 'Anne'

Raspberry Anne is a beautiful golden raspberry containing an incomparable sweet flavor with notes of apricot. The self-pollinating canes produce large, firm, juicy, sweet fruit. The sun colored berries are delicious eaten fresh out of hand, in salads, tarts, or preserves. Birds will also enjoy them, so be sure to harvest when these berries ripen from early fall through frost. Raspberry Anne freezes well, so you can store them for later use. This raspberry bush is cold hardy and heat tolerant once properly established.

Prune this raspberry bush in spring for a heavy summer crop. If a summer and early fall harvest is what you're looking for, prune during the winter. We do not advise that you plant raspberries near tomatoes, eggplant, peppers or potatoes, or in a location where those plants have been grown in the previous 4-5 years. The reason being is that the soil may contain common blights and fungal diseases such as Verticillium, which are associated with those plants, and can easily spread to the Raspberry.

    Rubus idaeus 'Joan J'

The Joan J Raspberry is a self-pollinating variety with thornless, strong canes that require little to no support. This raspberry bush will produce large, firm berries from early autumn through frost. The red berries release easily for effortless picking. Eat them fresh or freeze them for later use.

As a primocane (everbearing) plant, this raspberry will blossom and fruit on first year’s growth. Raspberry plants will generate new canes each growing season. Everbearing raspberries will produce berries on first year's growth and again the second year. Simply prune 2nd year canes to the ground in late winter, and let the growing cycle repeat itself in the upcoming season.
